Mat 7:1 & 2, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Today let us meditate what the word of God says about judging one another in this world.  The word of God says we need not to “Judge”.  The bible says if we Judge others we will be also judged in the same manner.  The hardest thing for any one in this world is to understand one’s own sins.  That is why King David who was a person of God’s own heart says Psa 19:12, “Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults.” There can be two types of faults in every ones life some are hidden to us, so only God has to reveal it to us.  Then some are very deliberate sin and we knowingly do some mistakes. That is why he is praying to God for both as in Psa 19:13, “Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.”  Another important truth is this Judging is the work of God and we should not take his seat and judge others. He is a righteous Judge as in Psa 7:11, “God is a righteous judge.” Let us learn to trust him with all our heart.

Our lord Jesus Christ told all his disciples not to judge any one in this world if we do not want to be judged by God as in Mat 7:1 & 2,  Jesus Christ also told that we should not have the fault finding ministry but we should self examine our own life if we want to go to heaven as in Mat 7:3 to 5, "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.”

Apostle Paul says we should not judge others as in Rom 2:1 to 3, “You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment?”  the best thing to do is to do self examination as in 1 Cor 11:31, “But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment.”

May the lord help each one of us to trust God and his justice and not to indulge in judging any one from today onwards.  May the lord give His grace to take time to judge ourselves to escape the coming judgment of God.  Amen.

Further Bible Study

Luke 6:37, "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.”

John 12:47 to 50, "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.  There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."

Lev 19:15, "'Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.”

Deu 17:12, “The man who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the LORD your God must be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel.”

Deu 32:36, “The LORD will judge his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees their strength is gone and no one is left, slave or free.”

Decision To Make

Psa 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
