Today's Rhema

Acts 2:15 & 16, “These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Loving greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Today let us meditate what will happen on these last days before the coming of the lord on this earth. Here we see on the day of Pentecost God enabled all his disciples to speak in different tongues through the Holy Spirit. This is what exactly the prophet Joel foretold. The bible says about every thing very clearly through the prophets. They used to foretell about the things which are going to happen through the help of the Holy Spirit. The prophet Joel similarly told what is going to happen in this world before the coming of the lord.  The bible says the later rain will be more heavier than the former rain. So, what happened on the day of Pentecost will be very less if we happen to witness the things what God is going to do in this world in the last days before His coming.  Apostle Paul says I want every one of you to prophesy as in 1 Cor. 14:5, “I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.” Let us also see these things and believe these things in life:

Acts 2:17, “In the last days, God says,

1.      I will pour out my Spirit on all people. – [God will pour His spirit on all the people why don’t we get that? By sincerely asking God with the real thirst for it as in Luke 11:9 to 13,]

2.      Your sons and daughters will prophesy, - [God will make even the small children to know the word of God through His revelation so, they all can prophesy with the help of the lord.]

3.      Your young men will see visions, - [getting a vision means getting a motivation to do a task for God. Getting guidance for their life and directions from God.]

4.      Your old men will dream dreams. – [God will explain about the future and things what will happen in detail to his people in the dream as he did in the past to kings and leaders.]

5.      Acts 2:18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. – [God will make his servants a mighty witness for the lord by empowering them by giving them the anointing of the Holy Spirit and enable them to prophesy for the glory of God.]

6.      Acts 2:19, “I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.”

7.      Acts 2:20, “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.”

The result of all these things will be very good some of the people who witness all these things will put their trust on the lord and as a result some of them will start seeking the true lord and call on the lord Jesus Christ.  And the bible says all those who call him will get saved as in Acts 2:21, “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

May the Lord help each on of us to trust God’s word and expect a mighty move of the Holy Spirit in these last days.  Amen.

Further Bible Study

1 Cor 14:31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.

1 Cor 14:39 Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

Decision To Make

Psa 4:5, “Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.”

Things To Thank God

Prov 2:6, “For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

World

1 The unprecedented harvest being won in Africa, Asia and Latin America

Christianity has slightly declined as a percentage of the world’s population

2 The expansion of Evangelicals since 1960. They numbered 84.5 million (2.8%) in 1960, but in 2000 they were 420 million (6.9%)

3 The spread of Pentecostalism has been astonishing

4 The huge impact of the Charismatic movement on almost every denomination and megabloc

5 The strength and growth of the Church in lands that have, or have had, severe persecution

6 The manifest failure of human ideologies, which became more obvious in the 1980s and ‘90s

a) The collapse of Communism as a global threat, and the bankruptcy of atheism has caused significant turning to Christ in answer to prayer

b) Fundamentalist Islam has gained in political power and its ability to cause havoc in the world through subversion and sometimes terrorism, but has lost credibility in the minds of many Muslims

c) The Buddhist world has long proved a tough challenge with few major breakthroughs, but the rising tide of interest and concern for the Buddhist heartlands of Tibet and Mongolia is bearing fruit

7 The globalization of the world missions movement

a) The USA still remains the largest foreign missionary-sending nation, but South Korea has replaced the UK as the second

b) India’s missionary movement has grown enormously even as the foreign component has dwindled

8 The AD2000 and Beyond Movement launched in 1989 proved to be the most global, focused movement for world evangelization that there ever has been

a) The 10/40 Window focus was brilliantly successful

b) A great increase in research into the world’s peoples — at a global level in producing the Joshua Project List (JPL) of unreached peoples

c) The Joshua Project I was launched in 1995 to facilitate strategic planning, coordinated research and cooperative church planting during the remaining years of the 20th Century

d) A Church for every people — how far was the goal achieved

e) The gospel for every person. The Mark 16:15 version of the Great Commission exhorts preaching the gospel to every person

The sobering fact is that even with all this activity, probably 15-25% of the world’s population has not really heard the gospel in such a way as to respond to the offer of eternal salvation in Jesus Christ
