Parents Page

The Bible says we have some responsibility towards our children. In Deu 6:6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. It says we are supposse to follow the word of God in our life very seriously. Then we have to teach them to our own children very carefully.

In Deu 6:7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deu 6:8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Deu 6:9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

1. The Bible says in Prov. 20:7 The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him. When the Parents walk in the way of the Lord the children also follow them.

2. In Prov. 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. We have to train our children in the right way.

3. In Prov. 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. There will be follishness in the heart of our children so we hav to take time to correct them.

4. Unless the Parents are giving punishments to correct their children they can not save their soul from hell. In Prov 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. In Prov 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. In Prov 13:24 Those who spare the rod hate their children, but those who love them are diligent to discipline them. The real love for the child brings correction.

5. In the modrn society many leave their children to their desire by giving total freedom. But Godís word says in Prov 29:15 The rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother.

6. In Prov 10:13 On the lips of one who has understanding wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of one who lacks sense. The foolishness can be removd by the rod of correction.

7. Right from the young age we have to train our children with a vision then in the Old age also he will follow them. In Prov. 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
