Chirstian Priest beheaded in Karimnagar
Mustabad (Karimnagar), Sept. 12: Unidentified assailants reportedly beheaded a 52-year old Christian preacher and government employee in Mustabad village outskirts on Monday night.According to the police, the mutilated body of Yesu Dasu was found in a pool of blood at a cattle shed near Kothakunta along the Mustabad-Siddipet highway, three km from here, on Tuesday morning.

Apparently, the assailants tied Yesu Dasu’s hands and inflicted multiple injuries with an axe on his neck and severing the head. Several pieces of the body were found scattered at the scene of offence. Mustabad villagers said the victim was popular in the mandal for the past 20 years as a Christian preacher. Yesu Dasu was a government employee working as leprosy non-medical assistant.

According to the bereaved family members, two persons riding a motor-cycle came to his house around 7 pm on Monday and took him away saying that “Pedda Sir” wanted to speak to him.

When Dasu failed to return home even after 10 pm, his anxious wife and children searched for him in the village but in vain. Finally, on Tuesday morning, they rushed to the outskirts after some villagers told them that the mutilated body of the preacher has been found.

Yesu Dasu leaves behind wife, three daughters and a son.On receipt of information, deputy superintendent of police K Muralidhar Rao and other officials visited the spot and have taken up investigation.
