Church

First of all, I would like to give you the meaning for this word from the Greek language. For Church or Assembly "EKKLESIA" is used ‘ek’ means out of, and ‘klesis’ means a calling, The word Assembly or congregation also used for this word but to get a biblical meaning to this word ‘to call’ as in John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. It means the called people of God. Jesus told in "Mat 16:18 …on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it".

1. Who builds the Church?

So the one who builds the Church is Jesus Christ. Mat. 16:18 … I will build my church,

2. What is the specialty of the Church?

Since it was being built by Jesus himself, like Him it stands for ever. No body can destroy it. ( Mat.16:18 … the gates of Hades will not overcome it".

3. Who brings us to this Church?

It is Jesus who brings us together. In Acts 2:47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

4. When He brings us to the Church?

Jesus brings us to the Church when we got Saved. In Acts 2:47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

5. When we are Saved?

According to Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. In Prov 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. In Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. So for our Salvation (1.), repenting for all our sins and feeling sorry for all wrongs (2.), confessing it and in Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (3.), taking Water Baptism for the remission of sins are all needed for personal Salvation.

6. Why we have to Confess all our sins to Jesus?

In 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In in Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

7. Was there any body else to get salvation?

In Acts 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

8. Is it important to love and attend the local church?

In Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, All who follow the Lord Jesus must also obligated to love the church. and in Heb 10:25 You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming.

9. Why the Church is very Important? Give reasons?

  • Church means the body of Christ. In Eph 5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
  • We are selected by God and brought in by Jesus Christ the son. Not by paying our subscriptions. In John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit. In Acts 2:47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
  • It is in the right hand of God. In Rev 1:20 "The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lamp stands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp stands which you saw are the seven churches.
  • It was purchased by the blood of the Lamb. In Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
  • God has appointed in the Church these things. In 1 Cor 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Also in Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, Eph 4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, So five type of ministries to take care of the church.
  • It is subjected to Christ, Jesus loves, and purifies it to keep her. In Eph 5:24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, Eph 5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, Eph 5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
  • Jesus has a concern for the Church so he nourishes and cherishes it. In Eph 5:29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
  • Christ and the Church are not separated. In Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. So a believer can not be separated from the Church. In Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church;
  • Church is the house of God. In 1 Tim 3:15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
  • Those who are in the Church whose names are written in heaven. In Heb 12:23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.
  • It is built by Jesus. In . Mat. 16:18 … I will build my church,
  • Nothing can destroy it. In Mat. 16:18 the gates of Hades will not overcome it".
  • Jesus himself asked us not to forsake the Church. In Heb 10:25 You should not stay away from the church meetings, as some are doing, but you should meet together and encourage each other. Do this even more as you see the day coming.
